The Living Theater
The Living Theatre is a theatrical repertory company founded by Julian Beck and Judith Malina in New York City circa 1947. It is known for its innovative production of experimental drama, often radical themes and for its confrontations with tradition, authority, and sometimes… audiences.
In partnership with Boo-Hooray, Anthology Editions is excited to present a unique assemblage devoted to the history and ongoing narrative of The Living Theatre.
Packaged within a stenciled museum box, over 40 pieces of ephemera help bring The Living Theatre to life. Dozens of original posters, handbills, programs, and photographs spanning the 60+ year span of the Living Theatre. Together in one place for the first time, the collection also includes a photo book, a history of the theatre by Thomas Walker, a signed print by Jonas Mekas, a print by Larry Clark and much more.
The publication is issued in an edition of 200 signed and numbered copies, with all of the proceeds benefiting The Living Theatre.
