Mexican Summer celebrates its fifteenth year as an independent record label advocating the work of adventurous music without genre or form limitations. For this monumental milestone, the label will host a series of concerts in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, and Mexico City featuring a wide representation of its diverse roster, including Connan Mockasin, L’Rain, Cate Le Bon, Devendra Barnhart, Iceage and more.

Established by Andrés Santo Domingo and Keith Abrahamsson as a vehicle to diversify the offerings of the founders’ concurrent endeavor in Kemado Records, Mexican Summer’s early success breaking mid-aughts artists like Best Coast, Washed Out, and Real Estate immediately put the label on the map. Amidst making an even wider footprint on this map supporting the long, curving careers of Dungen, Weyes Blood, No Joy, and Quilt among countless other notable artists, Mexican Summer organized the annual music festival and multidisciplinary cultural program Marfa Myths in Marfa, Texas from 2014 through 2019, established Anthology Editions, a publishing arm that has offered books from authors like Lou Reed, Brian Blomerth, Jane Dickson, and more in 2016, partnered with Daniel Lopatin, aka Oneohtrix Point Never, to found the influential electronic music imprint Software, opened two locations for the Brooklyn Record Exchange, and set up a recording residency at their home studio, Gary’s Electric, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

To help elevate this occasion, Mexican Summer commissioned renowned graphic designer and illustrator Bráulio Amado to create the visual experience around Fifteen Further. Amado’s work will be featured across the four show posters and in a new line of limited edition merchandise. Mexican Summer will also bring back in print several key releases from the label’s catalog, including No Joy’s Wait to Pleasure, the cult shoegaze favorite expanded with new, unheard tracks as well as celebrated titles from Software and Anthology.
