Steve Moore

"Fever Dream" b/w "30,000 Feet Deep"

November 1, 2009 Mexican Summer
MEX027

Steve Moore is one half of godlike instrumental duo Zombi, the bass player of Brooklyn heavy prog/stoner rock outfit Titan, the man behind the futuristic, mirrorshaded dance beats of Lovelock, an accomplished remixer, and part of a cosmic disco uprising heralded by his appearances on mixes and compilations by guys like Prins Thomas. Somewhere in between all of this, he cut these two tracks for Mexican Summer. “Fever Dream” is a pensive mix of Balearic synth pads with the ominous brood of Goblin’s Italian horror soundtracks. “30,000 Feet Deep” stays right up on the beat, soft and alluring, yet potentially deadly. Other influences include marijuana, back issues of  Omnimagazine, the National Air & Space Museum, and hard sci-fi.
